"So do I, I worry so much about what to get and whether people will like what I’ve got them." She kissed Richard’s head as he burrowed into his neck "It’s stressful but it’s worth it." Violet closed her eyes, she could feel his chest move and hear the sound of his breath.
Richard’s breathing patterns were slow and steady as he remained calm. Occasionally he would suffer with croaky breathing and a smoker’s cough but for now he was quiet. He simply watched as Violet burrowed into him and sighed happily, glad that she was comfortable.
The repetion of slow breathing between them both was almost hypnotic as they held each other. Violet couldn’t help but think how wrong this was, how right it felt, and whether two people who’d known each other a few days could be so comfortable together. She wanted to block it all out, to let it just happen but nothing was ever that simple. Violet ran her slender fingers down Richards back, long nails teasing his skin.
"Are you a cat then?" Richard murmured with a mischievous glint in his eye as Violet indeed scratched him like a cat would. He rubbed the top of her head. "Cats like a good scratch between the ears!"
"How did you know, you’ve found out my secret!" Violet said with sarcastic tone, as Richard rubbed her head she grinned purring sweetly. "If you’re going to treat me like a kitten that’s how I’m going to react." Violet giggled looking up at him.
